I mean I was exhausted and had a work load out of my anus. Then there was the pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, holiday cookies, & left over Halloween candy that were sitting in my refrigerator just begging me to eat them. I had excuse after excuse as to why I couldn't make time or why I deserved a slice (
(Me, before the baby... Those arms, and those abs no longer exist.
But they are coming back, I declare!)
These last few weeks I've ran the stairs in my building (75 flights total), done plank after plank after plank, done circuits and HIIT training, and even pulled my yoga mat into my bathroom and did some youtube AB videos. It's so hard trying to make time to workout when you are couped up with a baby 24/7. I've been blessed with a supportive partner who encourages me to get out to do somethings that I want to do - like go to the gym - but sometimes I feel like it's a decision between doing what I need to do, errands, and doing what I want to do, gym, mani/pedi, etc. So in order to balance things out I've been doing workouts while my little one naps, quietly, in my bathroom (fortunately it's spacious). So far it's been working for me.
As for diet, I am trying to eat cleaner. I have incorporated two different protein shakes into my diet on the days that I work out. I also am aiming to eat more fruits and vegetables, as well as lean protein and complex carbs. Because I'm breastfeeding I can't really cut back on calories per-se but I am trying to make better eating choices.
I plan on posting an updated picture soon :)

Good post :)

DeleteGirl your body needs 6weeks to recover. You are an overachiever. Let your body rest. Then go to mommy and me yoga with that cutie pie! Happy Founder's Day weekend Soror!
